I bought these bags in hopes for the same type I bought from Sears in their stores–ones made of thick, high quality fabric. I was disappointed that they were not what I was expecting. Needless to say, I bought multiple packages to save on shipping costs, because it cost the same amount to ship one package as it did to ship three. Doing it this way made each bag more cost effective, and now I don’t have to reckon about buying them for a long time! If you are looking for the white, fabric-like bags, do not buy these. They are a regular thin, paper vacuum cleaner bag.
I was very pleased with the vacuum bags. They worked just as well as the original ones, but at a fraction of the cost. Sometimes you find what appear to be bargins and then you find out you get what you pay for. In this case, money well spent and will definitly buy more.
After reading the reviews on this website, I chose to go with these bags instead of the Kenmore originals. These are much less expensive, and just as excellent.
These bags work fine for me in my Kenmore canister. No, they’re not the fabric kind, but a Sears vacuum salesman told me the difference in allergen-trapping effectiveness between the right Hepa bags and the paper ones is a matter of a few percent. I don’t recall the exact numbers, but I knew my reaction at the time was the allergen-trapping difference was TOTALLY not worth the price difference.
I’m writing this review because of a problem I found with the cardboard frame at the mouth of the bag. In my vac, this frame slides into a slot that holds it in position. The problem is that the bag is glued nearly up to the edge of the cardboard on some bags so that there is not enough clearance for the cardboard to slide into the slot. It’s not a lot, but it’s enough that I ripped two bags trying to get them installed. If you look at the bags when you get them you will see a honest amount of deviation in how much clearance you have. Some bags are ok, some are not.
It makes what seems like a fantastic deal–so many bags for not so much money–less so, because some bags are not usable or rip upon installation.
I might still buy them again because the price is so excellent, but I will do it knowing the risk I’m taking.
This product works as expected and for more than half the price of the “Kenmore” brand how can you go incorrect! I will buy again in the future.
