The Sebo vacuum is the best all-around value, simply because you can disassemble it and clean any obstruction, without tools. And the performance on different surfaces from one machine is astounding, one thing for sure the Germans know how to make a machine. While vacuuming the carpets you take the wand thats built into the machine and vacuum the drapes as you go, no loss in time for setup you really make time. A couple of my friends had Kirby brand, $1200.00 in the trash no longer working, a huge waste of money. Another friend Rainbow brand, $2,400.00 and yep it’s not working and hidden in the closet, replaced by a cheap Dirt Devil. My friend gets a small miffed when vacuums are mentioned. I’ve had mine for four years now with no problems except for replacing the cord. Another aspect I like about the Sebo is the service kit, filters, rubber catch strip that catches particles on hard floors to be contained until there’re vacuumed, very simple to change and reasonable in cost. I suspect that I will have this vacuum for fifteen or twenty years and that makes this a fantastic value.
